Is CoreHub's counselling really free?
Yes, completely. Like most enrolment platforms, we are compensated by partner universities when a student we counsel chooses to enrol — the same way schools pay recruitment fairs. You pay the same tuition whether you apply through us or directly, and we will show you both routes.
Which countries can I apply to through CoreHub?
Malaysia, Australia, the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Ireland. Within Malaysia we cover private universities, university colleges and selected international branch campuses in the Klang Valley, Penang, Johor and Sarawak.
When should I start planning — before or after results?
Ideally three to six months before your final exams. Early planning means you can target scholarship deadlines and early-bird rebates. That said, plenty of students come to us the week results are released, and we can still move quickly.
I have SPM only. What are my options?
Quite a few: foundation programmes, diplomas, A-Levels, AUSMAT, and matriculation-style pathways. Each has different costs, durations and university destinations. Our guide on choosing a pre-university route covers the trade-offs, and an advisor can map them to your specific grades.
Do you help with scholarships even if my grades are average?
Yes. Merit awards get the headlines, but many bursaries consider household income, co-curricular records, sports, arts or simply early application. Our matching process checks all categories, not just the academic ones.
Can my parents join the counselling sessions?
We encourage it. Study decisions in Malaysia are family decisions, and sessions work best when everyone hears the same numbers. We offer evening and weekend slots, in person at our Petaling Jaya office or by video call.
What happens after I get my offer letter?
We stay involved: acceptance paperwork, EMGS or overseas visa processing, accommodation shortlists, pre-departure briefings for overseas students, and a check-in during your first semester to make sure the course is what you expected.
